I asked myself the same question. What is canon doing? They release the new generation of powershot S5 IS in HDTV in the UK and the release a piece of crap VGA camera in the US.

I have heard we wont be getting the sx1 in North America anytime soon! Canon wont give me a hint…but thats the rumor.

They need to provide a update for the video to be shot at 24 frames per second!
