  7. I asked myself the same question. What is canon doing? They release the new generation of powershot S5 IS in HDTV in the UK and the release a piece of crap VGA camera in the US.

  9. I have heard we wont be getting the sx1 in North America anytime soon! Canon wont give me a hint…but thats the rumor.

  13. the 5d II has an archaic, obsolete auto-focus system. look it up- you’ll be shocked. it’s like making a 1000hp/1000ft-lb car and putting a “glass” gearbox that’s rated for 100ft-lb. very seriously silly move, Canon! you’ve now truly become a marketing company, not the techno-innovator you used to be.

  15. SX1, a crappy 1/2.3″ sensor…yeah it’s CMOS, faster, whatever, but Image Quality will suffer like a lot.

  16. Listen i own a 5d and yes its a fantastic camera, but come on Pros we all know you dont go around shooting with a 5d! you carry the big boys 1d’s.
